This initiative will provide opportunities for schools to develop creative strategies or resources around the teaching of woodwork. Students are afforded opportunities to undertake relevant JCSP subject statements in this area and to link with a range of cross-curricular statements also.

Instructions

• The funding is available for schools to develop further creative approaches to the teaching of Materials Technology to JCSP students. If you are interested in developing materials to better suit the students’ needs we would very much appreciate it if you would share these with other teachers. Please get in touch with us should this be an area of interest to you.
• Please enclose in your evaluation a detailed description of the activities undertaken in the running of the initiative along with any relevant photographs of the activities undertaken. We would be very grateful if the photos are sent to us digitally as the quality is great for publications. Please make sure that you have sought permission from parents/guardians to use the photos in publications. Some schools write to all parents asking them to make contact with the school if they object to photos being published.
