SL0863: Using the internet in science: working with students online

Target Group: Teachers who have some experience of using the internet but who wish to work safely with students online using a variety of tools and with due regard to the AUP of the school.
Course Aims: At the end of the course participants should be able to:
communicate using basic webmail, instant messaging, skype and others
collaborate using online applications
know about internet safety and comprehend the school AUP in
relation to student work online
choose from a variety of online collaborative areas for work with students
create, upload and discuss slideshows and video podcasts of
student investigations
evaluate the product and process
