LCA Modular Course: Skill Development for Horticulture in LCA, Day 2
- Target Group
- Two workshops have been designed to support teachers who are teaching the LCA Agriculture/Horticulture course as a Vocational Specialism who are not qualified Horticulturalists.
- Course Aims
- The practical workshop will be based on two modules, Basic Horticulture and Garden Design and will provide hands-on training in the organisation and execution of the prescribed practical activities.
The aims of the practical day are to;
- provide an opportunity to practice the skills involved.
- give the teachers involved an opportunity to consider the organisation of resources within their own schools circumstances.
- create a time plan for the activities within the constraints of the school year.
- consider the implications of, the caring for and the disposal of, the plant material produced.
- Consider the health and safety issues involved in the practical activities.
