Participants who complete this course should be able to
• Develop knowledge and an understanding of Osteoporosis which can be implemented into the classroom.
• Deal with misconceptions of Osteoporosis being ‘An old Lady’s disease’.
Course Description:
Osteoporosis is commonly known as “An Old Lady’s Disease”. The lecture will give teachers the correct facts on how it affects both genders and all age groups including children. Osteoporosis is preventable and treatable in the majority of people and how this done will be included in the lecture. The information will cover many aspects and will assist the teachers in protecting themselves as well as their students.
